Friday the 13th Earthquake in Costa Rica

At 4:50pm a oscillating earthquake in Costa Rica began to shake Jaco Beach. With the omens of bad luck on Friday the 13th, the earthquake in Costa Rica took many people by surprise in a country filled with mystical beliefs.
At first the ground shook vertical up and down for 2 seconds and then subsided for a second then began a back and forth horizontal motion that lasted almost 8 seconds which seemed like a life time.
The USGS richter scale initially showed a 6.0 but that is subject to change. The …

Costa Rica vaccinations required again for children?

Do not get me wrong,  I am 100% for childhood immunization programs but not the herd-like Costa Rica vaccinations. The sole aim of massive vaccination programs as a prophylactic response to potential epidemics is both financially and politically motivated.  Financially, Costa Rica could not afford to have a epidemic despite their claims of the best health care system in Central America and politically keeping that myth alive serves their international reputation. Why not have the Costa Rican politicians who create these programs subject their kids and family members to same …

Costa Rica Planning Armed Invasion?

Yesterday, a Russian news agency reported that Costa Rica is planning to invade or overrun the conflicted territory that Nicaragua occupied last year. This information was based on Juan Morales who is the Nicaraguan Army spokesman. This fiasco just keeps getting more goofy and strange by the week. The article pasted below say that Morales obtained this information from their counterintelligence officer, agency, group, or ministry. Remember this is the Nicaraguan agency that used Google Maps to determine the demarcation of their border with Costa Rica or at least they …

Costa Rica Flooding & Traveler Concerns

We have received an enormous amount of emails asking if the Costa Rica flooding that occurred in November 2010, will impact their travel plans for their Christmas vacation stays here on the central Pacific coast. We cannot speak for the Parrita area because those areas flooded are mostly in local resident pueblos. The tourism properties in Jaco and in Manual Antonio are fine and functioning as normal.
Concerned travelers have been scouring the internet seeking information about the flooding in Costa Rica. The information is scant on post conditions but we …

Still in Hiding? Video of Patricia Simpson Plea

We no longer are showing a link to the video.
We decided after convincing testimony from the community members that while there is no doubt that Steve Bucelato is eccentric and named Gringo Loco, that does not make him a bad person. We have always maintained that we are not an investigative organization and that what Steve Bryant and Patricia Simpson claims were “alleged”
We are pulling all articles that we suspect that have been authored by them since it has proven to be biased and manipulated the goodwill of our desire …

Social Justice Rains on Esterillos Costa Rica

Last week a Canadian named Steve Bryant came to the rescue of a elderly woman whom is a friend of his mothers. She was beaten, mutilated and left for dead in her rented home in Esterillos Costa Rica. Originally Steve and the victim Patricia tried to get the police to take action but they would not do anything. The alleged assailant is Steve Bucelato who is a long time Esterillos resident and known as Gringo Loco. Evidently, that is not an endearing term for this man.
Once Bryant knew that he …

Builders dream development ruined by a Costa Rica water engineer

This Costa Rica water issue was printed in the AM Costa Rica website, which is an online English newspaper for Costa Rica. The owner Jay Brodell in recent years has helped many expats by showcasing Costa Rica’s often obscure and downright unprofessional decisions. The author attempts at the outset to remove any doubt of his motivations for publishing his Costa Rica water nightmare. This Costa Rica water problem is not in the Jaco area and we have not heard of any water issues like this from any developer. This is …
