We were able to get out to the Jaco Beach area this past weekend to see the Jaco Art Festival. We are not professional videographers but then again, most of the videos on youtube.com are not, so we hope you enjoy if you were not able to attend. The videos are mostly of the parade which has the biggest fanfare, especially for the kids.

For the locals and tourists alike, theater is opening in Jaco Beach at Canciones del Mar. Debra Ehrhardt’s  Jamaica, Farewell - an internationally award winning play and soon to film – will open the 2011 season for Teatro Jaco.  Performances will be held Thursday through Sunday nights from Jan 27th through Feb. 6th, 2011. Residents of Esterillos are hopeful that an arrest will be made in the Patricia Simpson case. On one hand, they and many readers are outraged about the reported crime but many also want to see a resolution and want to get the “vibe” and the “pura vida” back into this really special community.
