The Central Pacific Chamber of Commerce has learned that the Tributacion Directa, the TAX ADMINISTRATION of PUNTARENAS (Tributacion Puntarenas) is holding a seminar here in Jaco to talk about current changes in taxes. The meeting will be Wednesday December 09 at 1:00 PM in Balcon Del Mar, which is located next to the Police Station on Calle Bohio. As you may have heard, Costa Rica implemented a new luxury tax which is still confusing to many people. How they are going to appraise the property value is one of the major sticking points. Participate in this meeting so you can get all of your questions answered. Most likely it will be in Spanish so if you can bring along someone who can translate for you it would be helpful if you cannot speak it yourself.
